The Voice of Dentistry in Nova Scotia
The Nova Scotia Dental Association (NSDA) is a member-based organization serving the needs of more than 600 dentist members across the province. As a not-for-profit organization, the NSDA has been the voice for dentistry in Nova Scotia since 1891. The Association is directed by its Governing Council of 16 dentists, who determine the NSDA's focus and scope of activities and programming.
The NSDA is a member of the Canadian Dental Association (CDA), alongside provincial dental associations in Newfoundland, Prince Edward Island, New Brunswick, Ontario, Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Alberta, British Columbia and the Northwest Territories & Nunavut Dental Association and Yukon Dental Association. The NSDA's mission is dentists helping dentists.
This mission is achieved through the NSDA's member-targeted programs and services, as well as through oral health promotion activities and partnerships with community-based organizations and the Faculty of Dentistry at Dalhousie University.
